The ESA Research Network 28 Society and Sport Midterm Conference was held on 25-26 March 2021. It offered a virtual space to talk about the challenges that sociology of sports face to appraise new complex scenarios.
Marianna Pavan was part of the panel dedicated to Sports, Refugees and Migration. Her presentation focused on the role played by recreational football in forced migrants’ lives. She discussed the potential role of football as a communication tool and a platform to build friendly relationships.
